Geraldine Evans is a multi-published author. Her previous publishers include Macmillan, St Martin’s Press, Severn House, Hale, Worldwide (pb), Isis (audio) and Ulverscroft (lp).
Originally a Londoner, she moved to Norfolk in the UK with George, her late husband, in 2000.
She has been writing since her twenties (many moons ago!) and has been plucked from slush piles twice (Hale and Macmillan).
She chose the indie path in 2010, after having eighteen trad-published novels, and after rejecting her last publisher’s latest contract. She absolutely loves being an Indie, and relishes the control she now has over her life’s work.
Geraldine used to have many and varied interests (painting portraits of unwilling victims, learning keyboards, trying to grasp photo-manipulation software, getting God-like in the greenhouse and sewing. She wonders now how on earth she fitted them in with a full-time job and writing at evenings and weekends.
She’s been a full-time writer since 2011, but she doesn’t have time now (especially since her stroke in 2015 which reduced her to a one-handed typist). So only gardening is left, and that’s only because she loves pretty plants.
2019 is already a very busy year, with masses of promos, both individually and in groups. She will finish her Rafferty #19, un-named, as yet, in the second half of the year (God willing), and she hopes to write another two books, one of which will be the third Casey & Catt. About time!
