On her blog, Jane Dougherty has suggested she sets up a Writers’ Workshop for help with tricky writing problems.

Writing book blurbs is my particular bugbear. They’re either too short, too long, or fail to cover all of what are apparently the four essentials (who is your main character, what does s/he want, what stands in the way of getting what s/he wants and what is at stake if s/he fails. I got this information from the invaluable kboards.com/writers’ cafe).

If you feel this kind of help would be useful to you in your latest work in progress, why not read the blog and drop Jane a line?

She also does author interviews and takes guest posts.

Her 2-strong Casey & Catt series features DCI 'Will' Casey, a serious-minded, responsible policeman, whose 'the Sixties never died', irresponsible, drug-taking, hippie parents, pose particular problems of the embarrassing kind.
